Standby for bioplastics! As manufacturers seek to improve the energy performance of electronic devices both in standby and operating mode, there is no point overlooking those standard oil-based plastic casings. The look and feel of our bioplastics aids brand differentiation, backed up by robust sustainability claims. Physical/structural performance will outperform design life in above ground applications.

Consumer personal equipment

Our bioplastics feel good when incorporated into personal electronic devices such as toothbrushes. The material surface characteristics ensure good grip performance whilst providing a device that will withstand every day use.  Testing for products in this sector has demonstrated suitable thermal, moisture and fatigue performance.

Boxes and cases

Bioplastic cases and boxes can be formed into most product shapes and can deliver suitable structural performance. Our standard colour range is extensive and we can provide specific brand colours as appropriate.

Talk to us if you have an application that requires particular characteristics such as fire performance as we have probably dealt with it before. Our materials can be moulded into complex deep draw sections at similar cycle times to their petrochemical cousins.  In-process recycle rates in excess of 25% can be achieved.

Portable devices

Bioplastics are just entering the market of consumer electronic devices. Biome Bioplastics is supporting forward thinking OEMs in this sector and has products suitable for this end-use.

Industrial packaging

Choose our materials to pack your B2B electronics shipments for their anti-stat benefits and your marketing approach is enhanced by great sustainability and disposal claims.
